Membership

Becoming a member of KOZ is really quite simple. Because KOZ is an affiliate chapter of OAKE, the Organization of American Kodály Educators, membership in one actually becomes a membership in the other by default. One of the best parts of KOZ membership is that there are no local fees or dues - you simply pay the fee for OAKE membership and you are done!

Of course, when submitting your membership to OAKE, you must indicate that you wish for your chapter affiliation to be with KOZ. It is very easy to do this whether you are submitting your membership application online or through the postal service. The handy link listed below will help you through whichever method you choose.

There are several types of membership. Practicing music educators will likely become Active members with a fee of $75 per year. An attractive option for full-time college students is the $20 per year Student membership. Retirees who are at least 55 years old may pay a discounted membership fee of $40 per year.

The benefits of membership include the quarterly periodical, The Kodály Envoy; divisional newletters; discounted workshop and conference fees; and - except for Student members - voting privileges.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact a current KOZ officer. Emails can be found on the Home page of this site.

Don't forget to list KOZ as your chapter affiliation!
